The United Nations undertakes a central role in fostering the freedoms of religion or belief (FoRB) worldwide. Through policy mechanisms, the UN strives to ensure that individuals and groups have the ability to manifest their convictions freely and free from harassment. Moreover, the UN offers aid to governments in strengthening their legal and in
